Lemaitre are Ketil Jansen and Ulrik Denizou, a young Norwegian duo with the electronic music scene at their feet. Their stunning new EP ‘Relativity 3’ is set for release on 4th March through Onelove Recordings and marks the start of what promises to be a remarkable year for the dynamic pair.
Taking inspiration from an assimilation of influences ranging from Daft Punk, Röyksopp, Justice, Ratatat, Phoenix and Noisia, Lemaitre’s sound is an eclectic mix of dreamy electro-pop with constantly evolving sonic layers and soundscapes, disco beats and catchy melodies. From the sublime opener Continuum right through to the buoyant keys and playful house beats of closing track ‘Cut to Black,’ ‘Relativity 3’ is the product of 2 supremely talented and ambitious 20 year olds.
Since forming, Lemaitre have reached number 1 in the iTunes dance chart in the US and Canada and top ten in twelve different countries on the same chart. They count the likes of Madeon, Netsky and Porter Robinson as fans and have collaborated with Camo and Krooked on a track, which will appear on their next album. Their live shows are more of a multi media event as they play with light, visuals and sounds to create an entertaining, visceral and thought provoking experience. They designed and constructed their live set themselves and it is very personal to them.
With a promising year ahead of them and exciting tours on the horizon, Lemaitre are set to take 2013 by storm. They were Zane Lowe’s ‘Next Hype’ on Radio 1 when he previewed ‘Continuum’ recently and play Koko in Camden on 26th April.

Native Instruments have today released a teaser trailer for a new synth which they are claiming will be a “revolution” in sound.
Most would say thats a big call, but coming from the company that brought us VST’s like Massive and FM8 which undoubtedly spear head some of the most well known sounds in dance music today you cant help but get excited at the prospect!
